Having some people over tonight. Hope they can all abide by the rules posted under a plastic plate outside the door way. Rules include no urinating off the roof and no setting off fireworks. I've only got a few hours before I must be ready. I think one person said they were showing up at 4 PM. It should be a good evening. I bought alcohol yesterday. They were selling these glass jugs of 3 liters of red wine, so I thought I would give it a try. I also bought this bottle of orange peel beer. I like to try anything that sounds really different. Suppose I should clean up around here. I want to have a look through my agenda, which I have sourly been neglecting due to addiction to computer games.
I always manage to discipline myself to do 3 pages of writing while awake. Often get distracted by music videos when I am writing. 3 pages of long hand writing doesn't take up a lot of time. One of my old bosses once told me that writing can have a negative effect on your mental health. People have a lot of strange ideas sometimes.
Got that complicated new cell phone yesterday. Bought some stuff. I guess I am doing okay. It looks like an avalanche hit my room and it should be tidier. Sometimes it seems to take forever to get anything done. I feel a little bit of anxiety in terms of figuring out how to cut a dent in cleaning up my room. Yesterday all I wanted to do was drink beer in my room. I talked to my mother on the phone for a long while. Mona called at some point, but I was drunk and half asleep. I dropped the phone and she wasn't on the other end when I tried talking to her. So I put the phone down and went to bed.
I remember talking to a bunch of people online last night. That actually took up some of my time. Guess I used the opportunity to post a long blog. I keep meaning to get around to writing a blog about some of my earliest childhood memories. I'd like to think of a wonderful way to word them so they can be written almost as photographic snippets of the colourful world of child revellery. That state of being extremely young and just learning how to grasp speech. One of my earliest memories involves being in a parade and hearing popping balloons which were tied on the baby stroller I was riding in. I suspected that these 2 boys were popping the balloons and I tried to tell my mother but could not yet speak. Somehow my mother seemed to understand what was drawing my attention and told me that it was just the heat of the sun popping the balloons.
Nobody really talks much about the changes in consciousness from infancy until adulthood. How children perceive the world quite differently. What does this concept of less developed consciousness in children say about evolution and the nature of the soul. Perhaps gods have an infancy stage too and develop right along with society. For me the idea that gods are manmade simply ignores the fact that everything is already in existence in the mental plane. There are almost infinite possibilities for different thoughts, images, or ideas to enter a person's consciousness. I think these things come from a real place. Why do thoughts and the ability to imagine anything to exist? How under Darwinianism can we explain the evolution of society and the development of the soul. These are all ideas for some thought.
For me, I think religion expands beyond caretaking the earth. There is the world of stars, spirit, and all else. I don't need to be a hippie munching alfalfa and studying naturopathic medicine while practicing crystal healing to be a spiritual person. I am interested in realms beyond death and beyond time. I am interested in the progression and movement of society. I think it's time for people to wake up to the fact that this world could be a better place if they would just contribute to the advancement of science. Afraid of pollution destroying the earth? Help us build a rocket ship so we can colonize the moon and mars? Afraid of the world running out of clean drinking water? Help us develop a chemical solution which will instantly clean water. When it comes to pollution I think our society has made many humane mistakes. I think many companies are starting to take ethical business practices more seriously. So, we just got to do our part now. I personally don't do much for the environment other than the fact that I am not a huge consumer and don't accrue as much waste packaging as people, though packaging can build up from even the limited shopping I do. I try to recycle everything that is recyclable. Gave Sue's daughter a dress I didn't want anymore. The trouble with gaining weight is not that it has made it impossible to get clothes around me. It's just that my boobs get bigger and start hiking up every short dress I've got up to my crotch. It isn't a pretty picture.
Anyway, folks, don't get in any car accidents while I am away. Eat your vegetables. I got to go.
